Premier Youth & Community Center Opens In Ambridge Area
Reported by Taylor Nichol, ARCC Director
2018 already has proven to be an exciting year for the Ambridge business community! After a year of exciting grand openings and occupancy permits in 2017, Ambridge now welcomes another facility: Premier Youth & Community Center. Locals may already know the name Premier Fitness & Boxing Club, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization, that previously was located in Rochester, PA.
Now, Premier calls 2922 Duss Avenue their new home. The Center is supported by the Non-Profit team, and will be the home of Premier Fitness and Boxing Club programming. Premier was established through the background of boxing but strives to make an impact on the community. They aim to provide a facility that youths, teens, and adults can attend together to bond through fitness, goal-oriented training, and boxing. Boxing is the passion of Premier head trainers who want to teach the sport of boxing and empower youths to pursue their dreams. Along with boxing programming, the Center will host a variety of activities for youth and community outreach.
Jaryd Boyer, Premier's Founder, Executive Director, and Head Trainer, is excited to put down roots in the Ambridge area. Jaryd and the Premier team spent many hours of 2017 volunteering at Ambridge Chamber events and coordinating free activities for children. According to the Premier board, relocating to Ambridge has already been a wonderful experience. Jaryd says, "we're looking forward to seeing Premier thrive in the local area and have great visions for becoming a staple in the community. We are very grateful for the support we have received from the local community so far and we invite anyone who's interested in getting involved to come on down!"
While the new facility is currently under construction, it is running and open for training! The hours of operation are posted each week on the Premier Facebook Page, or you can sign up for their weekly email newsletter to receive updates. Head to the Premier Facebook page or www.premierboxingandfitness.org to sign up for the newsletter! On top of training efforts, Premier will need ongoing help with renovations, painting, and other tasks! If you're interested in volunteering, please contact Jaryd Boyer at 412-944-3013.
On behalf of the Ambridge Regional Chamber of Commerce, we congratulate the Premier board and supporters on their hard work, and are very excited to see the organization blossom in town!
